Jîthël-ivî Ratê (/ˈcefa/ /ˈivɪ/ [instant] [contact]) is a temperate Large City located in the Nêndënkîte Zone of the Engineer's Guild.

The name Jîthël-ivî Ratê is derived from the Goblin language, as Jîthël-ivî Ratê was founded by Yhzarth, who was culturaly Iron Elf.

Climate

Jîthël-ivî Ratê has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 19°C (66°F). Jîthël-ivî Ratê receives an average of 247 cm/y (97 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Jîthël-ivî Ratê covers an area of nearly 89 km2 (35 mi2), and an average elevation of 3852 m (12637 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Jîthël-ivî Ratê was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1228, by Yhzarth. The establishment of Jîthël-ivî Ratê was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Yhzarth struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Jîthël-ivî Ratê as a prison colony.

Jîthël-ivî Ratê was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Jîthël-ivî Ratê is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Jîthël-ivî Ratê is is constructed arround a series of restrictive split-log ties mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Jîthël-ivî Ratê's robustly designed timber walls has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Jîthël-ivî Ratê has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Jîthël-ivî Ratê’s streets.

Cultural Notes

Jîthël-ivî Ratê's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is long in Jîthël-ivî Ratê.

The Water Strider Swarm near Jîthël-ivî Ratê are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Jîthël-ivî Ratê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 3 via guttural bellowing.
